The Ashanti Regional Minister, on the 26th May 2026, paid a working visit to Obuase Beverages Co. Ltd, a leading herbal beverage company that produce Obuase Bitters and other beverages, headquartered in Obuasi. The visit formed part of the Minister’s ongoing engagement with local industries to strengthen collaboration and promote regional economic development.
During the tour, the Minister inspected the company’s production facilities and held discussions with management on expansion strategies, export readiness, and community empowerment initiatives. The Minister commended Obuase Beverages Co. Ltd for its commitment to quality, innovation, and cultural heritage, noting that the brand has become a symbol of Ashanti’s pride and Ghanaian excellence.
Management of Obuase Beverages Co. Ltd highlighted ongoing projects, including diversification into carbonated soft drinks, premium energy drinks and coconut milk beverages, as well as programs designed to empower women and youth in the community.
The Minister reaffirmed Government’s unwavering support, highlighting the vital role of indigenous enterprises in driving job creation, industrial growth, and cultural promotion, while underscoring the strategic importance of the 24-hour market initiative.
